About NOGAMU
Our Story
The National Organic Agricultural Movement of Uganda (NOGAMU) was established in 2001 as the national umbrella organization for organic agricultural stakeholders in Uganda.
With over two decades of experience, we have grown to become a leading voice in promoting organic agriculture, bringing together farmers, processors, exporters, and consumers committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices.
Our journey began with a small group of visionary farmers who believed in the power of organic agriculture to transform lives and protect our environment. Today, we represent over 200,000 certified organic farmers across Uganda.
