  • Supporting and coordinating research initiatives for sector players' stakeholders in Uganda.
  • Organizing tailor-made trainings for selected groups of farmers and companies in Organic Agriculture production. Partnerships with academic vocational and research institutes to advance training and research in organic agriculture
  • Establishment and development of certifiable Quality Management Systems. Internal Control Systems (ICS) and Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS)
  • Development and promotion of implementation of Organic Agriculture products related standards and practices.
  • Strengthen standards environment and implementation of organic agriculture standards in Uganda.
  • Increase awareness on organic agriculture and product related standard such as HAACP, Fair-trade, Utz certified and 'ISO.
  • Promote certification of organic products for local and regional markets
  • Chemical and microbiology analysis to guarantee quality and safety of organic products.
  • Undertake aspects of calibration of tools and equipment used in organic Agriculture to ensure accuracy in measurements
  • Promotion, training and awareness on standards, certification, quality assurance and related services.
  • Creation of awareness about organic farming at local, regional/ international level.
  • Subscribing to networks, which are relevant to the organic sector.
  • Conducting annual organic day celebrations throughout the country to increase visibility of the sector.
  • Mobilizing and rallying stakeholders to respond to emerging issues that affect the Organic Agriculture sector.
  • Publication and distribution of policy related issues and information resources to members
  • Collaboration with key government ministries and institutions to analyze, develop and implement policies that support organic agriculture.
  • Supporting formation of organic networks in other African countries.
  • Undertakes strategic engagements and partnerships with government and other domestic and international partners to develop the organic sector in Uganda.
