National Organic Week
National Organic Week is NOGAMU's flagship annual event, bringing together farmers, exporters, processors, government agencies and development partners to celebrate the growth and impact of Uganda's organic agriculture sector. The week features farmer showcases, market linkages, policy dialogue, and hands-on demonstrations of organic farming practices.
Beyond the main week, NOGAMU runs a weekly farmers' market that gives certified organic farmers direct access to customers in Kampala, and provides a recurring platform to promote organic produce, build consumer awareness, and strengthen the local organic value chain.
How We Organize It
NOGAMU coordinates National Organic Week with member organizations, government partners, and international development agencies to ensure the event reflects the real needs of Uganda's organic farming community. Planning includes farmer training sessions, exhibitor coordination, and policy advocacy sessions run alongside the main showcase.
